The day had finally arrived! With a sense of anticipation, I touched down in Dublin for one of the most important moments in my career—the launch of my latest book, Tach Plays in Croke Park.

The experience kicked off with the renowned GAA Museum tour. From the moment we began, our guide had us enthralled with the rich history of the GAA and the legendary Croke Park. One of the highlights was seeing the breathtaking Waterford crystal football and sliotar chandeliers in the players’ lounge. The tour offered a journey from the iconic pitch to the historical memorabilia, making it both entertaining and deeply moving. If you haven’t experienced this tour yet, it’s a must-do when you next visit Croke Park with your children! Of course, I had to visit the Michael Cusack section of the museum, the very place where it all began.

The museum is brimming with treasures—from the famous cups to displays celebrating Ireland’s hurling heroes. The book launch itself was incredibly emotional. Tach had come home! Seeing Tach the Hurler come to life in the heart of Irish hurling was a moment I will never forget. A special thank you to Julianne, Aisling, and all the wonderful staff who made this day one of the most memorable of my life. Together, we hope to continue sharing the spirit of hurling far beyond the borders of Ireland. Before leaving, I made sure to sneak in some souvenir shopping—magnets and memorabilia filled my arms as I left the museum.

The GAA’s vision—‘Where We All Belong’—resonates deeply with me, as it aligns with The Wadi Tribe’s motto, ‘Where Everyone is Welcome’. I am hopeful that this shared vision marks the beginning of a meaningful relationship between The Wadi Tribe and GAA, with hurling at its heart.
